We offer a wide range of services, and our vets and nurses will consult with you on how best to design any treatment your pet may need around their specific case, to ensure the best possible results. 

We believe in complete transparency when it comes to prices, and we like to back this up with open communication – so if you have any questions, please ask!

Vaccinations

Dogs and cats require regular vaccinations to protect them from potentially fatal but entirely preventable diseases. After an initial course of vaccinations, they will also need yearly boosters to maintain their protection. All of our primary vaccination courses include a nose to tail health check both at the time of the vaccination with one of our vets and six months after with a Registered Veterinary Nurse.

Microchipping

Microchipping is quick, easy and gives you the peace of mind that if your pet becomes lost, it can be identified and returned to you. It is a legal requirement for all dogs in England to be microchipped and legislation will soon mean this is also the case for cats.

Dental care

Dental health is a crucial aspect of keeping your pet healthy, and we recommend that they are checked by one of our team on a regular basis. That is why we include free dental checks as part of our Star Pet Health Plan Unlimited. Dental disease is a progressive condition and early identification will help prevent oral pain and tooth loss in the future. If your pet needs dental extractions this can be discussed at the time of the dental health check

Neutering

Neutering* is the removal of reproductive organs from your pet and can have behavioural and health benefits, as well as preventing unwanted litters. It is referred to as castration in males and spaying in females.

How much is a vet consultation at Sandymoor Vets?

A standard vet consultation costs £54. Re-examination consultations are £45 and veterinary nurse consultations are £25.

Are consultations included with the Star Pet Health Plan Unlimited?

Yes, members of our Star Pet Health Plan Unlimited receive unlimited vet and nurse consultations at no extra cost.

What is included in the puppy and kitten vaccination courses?

Our puppy and kitten vaccination courses include a full nose to tail health check with a vet at the time of vaccination and a follow-up health check with a registered veterinary nurse six months later.

How much do booster vaccinations cost at Sandymoor Vets?

Dog and cat booster vaccinations cost £60. Cat boosters include protection against feline leukaemia. Kennel cough vaccination costs £40 when given at the time of a booster or £56 if given separately.

Are vaccinations included with the Star Pet Health Plan Unlimited?

Yes, all routine vaccinations are included at no extra cost for members of our Star Pet Health Plan Unlimited.

Do you offer rabbit vaccinations and how much do they cost?

Yes, we offer the RDH2 rabbit vaccination which costs £78.

How much does microchipping cost at Sandymoor Vets?

Microchipping costs £23.54 and is included free of charge for all Star Pet Health Plan Unlimited members.

How much does dental treatment cost for cats and dogs?

Dental treatment prices start from £350 for cats and £375 for dogs for a scale and polish. The final cost depends on your pet’s individual needs and whether more involved dental work or extractions are required.

Do you offer dental checks and are they included in the health plan?

Dental checks with a nurse cost £20 and are included free for members of our Star Pet Health Plan Unlimited.

How much does neutering cost at Sandymoor Vets?

Neutering prices vary depending on your pet’s species, sex and weight. Dog and bitch neutering prices are listed by weight bands while cats and rabbits have fixed prices. Complicated procedures will be discussed with you in advance. Members of our Star Pet Health Plans receive 20 percent off the cost of neutering.
